Role: Smart Buildings Engineer

Location: Southern California

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intelligent building systems, including energy management, security, and automation solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and technical objectives.
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility assessments for smart technology integration.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept projects to validate new innovations.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving regulations in building intelligence.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices in engineering and system implementation.
• Analyze data from building systems to identify improvements and enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Building Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in building systems design, with a focus on smart buildings or IoT technologies.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MATLAB.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and standards related to building automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to innovation.
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in multidisciplinary team environments.
• Outstanding communication abilities—both written and verbal.
