Position Scope

The Business Analyst supports the Production and Business Services team by providing detailed job cost auditing, crew onboarding, and specialty job bidding assistance. This role is critical in maintaining financial accuracy and improving operational insights across labor, materials, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit labor invoices to ensure billing accuracy against job completion and contract terms
• Audit material costs and compare against contracted material budgets
• Provide data reporting and analytics for job performance and cost tracking
• Support the onboarding of new labor crews, ensuring documentation and compliance standards are met
• Assist in bidding specialty jobs, coordinating between labor resources and distribution partners
• Cross trained on team job functions for order and scheduling material with labor

Qualities and Competencies

Foundational Experience

• Understanding of Construction or Trades
• Prior exposure to roofing, construction, or service-based operations is helpful. Comfortable working with subcontractor invoices, distribution partners, and field crew dynamics.
• Hands-On Job Cost Support
• Familiarity with reviewing labor hours, material receipts, and job-level cost breakdowns. Able to spot inconsistencies and assist with resolution under manager guidance.
• Service-Oriented Mindset
• Takes initiative in assisting others, follows through on assigned tasks, and supports overall production efficiency with strong attention to detail

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Proficiency in Excel and Data Entry Tools
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and digital systems for invoice tracking, cost comparisons, and weekly reporting.
• Basic Reporting & Trend Identification
• Capable of pulling simple reports or summaries to help the team understand job performance, cost issues, or crew trends.
• Accuracy in Audit Task
• Ensures accuracy when comparing billed vs. approved rates, flagging discrepancies for review.

Salary Range : $50,000-$60,000 plus Health Benefits
