Our Client is seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager/ Director or General Manager to oversee our residential new construction operations in Florida. This leadership role is critical to our continued success in delivering high-quality roofing, siding, and exterior finishes to regional and national builders. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of local labor markets, production cycles, and building code requirements specific to Florida. They will lead our field and administrative teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure strong builder partnerships.

This is a high level, out in the field position. Not a desk job.

Reports to : Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Salary: $130-160k

Vehicle Allowance: $1,100 per month and fuel card

The Director of Construction is responsible for overseeing all branch management, new branch training, and ensuring company standards are upheld across multiple locations. The Director of Construction monitors field operations, ensuring that construction teams meet project deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations. Working closely with General managers, corporate staff, and subcontractors, this position standardizes operations, provides leadership to branch managers, and manages the regional operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Branch Development & Expansion:

 Lead efforts to open new branch locations, including site selection, setup, and operational launch.

 Recruit, hire, and train staff for new branches, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed for success.

 Develop operational protocols for new locations, standardizing processes to align with company objectives.

• Branch Management & Training:

 Oversee all branch operations, ensuring each location follows company policies, maintains profitability, and adheres to project schedules.

 Develop and implement training programs for both new and existing employees, focusing on company methodologies, safety protocols, and quality standards.

 Conduct branch performance evaluations, visiting sites to assess operational effectiveness and provide corrective action plans as needed.

• Construction & Field Operations:

 Monitor on-site safety compliance in accordance with OSHA and industry best practices, working with safety officers to reduce job site incidents.

 Standardize construction workflows across branches to reduce rework, improve efficiency, and ensure quality control on all projects.

 Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure branches have the necessary materials, equipment, and skilled labor to meet deadlines.

 Implement strategies to improve subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with project scope, timelines, and budget.

• Leadership & Reporting:

 Provide leadership to branch managers, project managers, and field staff to drive operational success and team development.

 Meet weekly with the COO to review branch performance, training progress, and warranty service efficiency.

This role is critical in maintaining operational excellence across multiple locations while driving expansion efforts to support the company’s growth.
