Disciplina is an Outsourced Chief Investment Office that utilizes a multi-asset and multi-investment manager investment strategy across traditional (global equities and fixed income) and alternative asset classes (hedge fund, natural resources, real estate and private market investments). The firm is seeking to add a generalist investment professional that provides support to the investment process, client reporting and engagement. Key responsibilities will include asset allocation, investment analysis, portfolio implementation, risk management, performance monitoring and client communication. The individual will be expected to be a key contributor to the firm with a team mentality.
Job Duties
· Perform qualitative and quantitative research on the macro environment and its impact on strategies within respective asset classes and/or portfolios, providing input towards enhancing client portfolios.
· Gather attribution characteristics for asset classes and/or portfolios and extrapolate performance drivers.
· Assess and highlight major changes/drivers of asset class and/or portfolio performance. As needed, highlight risks that may hinder performance.
· Summarize and present manager commentary as well as personal observations for assigned managers, portfolios and/or asset classes.
· Review managers' reports and press reviews on a continuous basis. Track organizational changes for fund managers’ firms.
· Participate in sourcing new managers by performing database screens, meeting and reviewing materials from prospective managers, and sourcing and networking with prospective managers that meet return, risk, and qualitative criteria established by the investment team.
· Aid in documenting the due diligence process, meeting notes and internal database with prospective, new and existing manager information.
· Develop and analyze risk analytics for client portfolios and underlying fund managers.
· Attend relevant annual meetings and/or industry conferences as needed.
· Assist with client reporting as needed (verify investment returns and compile presentations).
Desired Qualifications:
· Degree(s): BS or BBA degree required, CAIA, CFA, MBA or related Master's Degree preferred
· Minimum of 3 years of related institutional investment experience
· Majors: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or related discipline
· Ability to effectively define, implement, balance and prioritize multiple tasks and strategic goals in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with changing priorities based on business demand
· Strong computer literacy (with emphasis on MS Office, database applications, and reporting)
· Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an ability to work within a team framework while also able to exercise initiative and work independently
· Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
· Position based in Nashville with hybrid work model (4 days in office)
