Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Diagnostician to join a supportive school district in the New Orleans area. This is a full-time contract opportunity for the upcoming school year with the potential for renewal.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
• Interpret diagnostic data and provide recommendations for instructional strategies and interventions.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to develop and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Participate in eligibility determinations and ARD/IEP meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or related field.
• Valid Louisiana certification as an Educational Diagnostician or eligibility to obtain.
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IDEA and special education compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
