SUMMARY
Seeking a skilled Press Operator with hands-on experience in flexographic printing. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong attention to detail and a passion for high-quality label production. You’ll be part of a team that values precision, safety, and a clean working environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and operate flexographic presses to manufacture labels and related materials.
• Load dies, install print cylinders, and align materials to ensure print accuracy.
• Start and monitor press operations, adjusting speed and alignment as needed.
• Inspect sample strips for quality, checking registration, color, and impression issues.
• Clean and maintain plates, print cylinders, and dies regularly.
• Mix inks to maintain consistent color and correct viscosity.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to fellow operators.
• Assist in onboarding new staff and educating them on safety and operational protocols.
• Keep workspace clean and follow established housekeeping practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience operating flexographic presses (e.g., Mark Andy, RotoPress, Nilpeter).
• Strong mathematical skills, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interpret and use measurement tools like rulers and scales.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good vision including depth perception and color accuracy.
• Willingness to cross-train and learn new press technologies.
