Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Denver, CO

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Denver office. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing complex mechanical engineering projects for our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) firm. Your expertise and innovative mindset will contribute to the successful design and implementation of cutting-edge mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any mechanical system-related issues during construction phases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in mechanical engineering practices, and apply them to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC systems design for MEP projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome complex engineering challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
