A 20+ person high-end, boutique patent law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a patent attorney or patent agent well-versed in telecommunication patents to join their team! The team recently received an influx of work in this space. This position can be remote for the right patent attorney or agent.
This patent attorney or agent will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a telecom client, and ensuring the technical submissions meet the 3GPP Communication Standards Organization. The patent attorney/agent will also be responsible for c reating claim charts. The firm is looking for someone who wants to bet on themselves – “the more work you do, the more you get paid" - and is driven to work in the patent prosecution space long-term.
Patent attorneys who have previously been partners - with or without a book of business - are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
1. Patent attorney or agent experience in the telecommunications (5G/6G) space.
^ “We are trying to find someone who is very knowledgeable in that space – not ancillary exposure or who worked on this ten years ago. Recent and sustained experience in this area is the baseline.” Please do not apply without substantive experience with telecommunication patents.
2. Knowledge of/experience creating claim charts for mapping to standard [essential patents].
3. USPTO bar + license in another state.
4. No in-house counsel (at least not substantive). Must be outside counsel/worked mostly at laws firms.
