Location: Addison, TX | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 remote)

Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract through June 2026

Start Date: Within 2 weeks

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Payroll Manager on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized healthcare organization based in Addison, TX . This is a high-impact contract role supporting a recent acquisition, with a strong possibility for permanent hire based on performance.

**Candidate must have experience with ADP Vantage**

Position Overview:

In this role, the Payroll Manager will lead the payroll function for approximately 800 full-time employees under a single Tax ID. The client is currently operating on ADP Vantage , with plans to eventually transition to Oracle . This role is essential to ensure payroll operations run smoothly and accurately during this transitional phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll for ~800 employees using ADP Vantage
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Manage wage garnishments, PTO, benefits deductions, and other payroll adjustments
  • Supervise one payroll team member and coordinate with internal HR and finance teams
  • Serve as the go-to expert on payroll during the post-acquisition transition period
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reports for leadership and audit purposes
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data
  • Support potential future migration to Oracle (Oracle experience is a plus)

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including payroll management for 500+ employees
  • Expert-level experience with ADP Vantage is required
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax filings, and reporting
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus, but not required
