Payroll Specialist

Duluth, GA 30096 (Hybrid)

Shift: 8am-5pm M-F. Monday and Friday are hybrid

12+ Month

$30 per hrs. on W2

Must Have Experience:

1. Union, shift differential, and holiday experience
2. Tax knowledge for difficult states like California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc. There are over 37k employees across all states and localities
3. Excel skills with vlookup, formulas, match, pivot tables
4. PeopleSoft
5. ServiceNow (or some kind of case resolution software)
6. 5 years of experience
7. High school or GED

Skill Requirement:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred from accredited university
2. FPC, CPP or equivalent certification and/or experience, preferred
3. 3-5 years of full cycle payroll administration work experience which includes multiple provinces
4. Systems experience with various timekeeping and payroll software packages (PS & Kronos today - Workforce Solutions - future)
5. Knowledge of payroll practices and HRIS systems including PeopleSoft
6. Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
7. Knowledge of Canadian payroll processing required
8. Excellent communication (verbal and written)
9. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under time constraints to meet critical deadlines
10. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Effective planning and organizational skills
12. Good technical aptitude to learn new software systems with ease
13. Knowledge and expertise of Excel functionality (formulas, linked spreadsheets, pivot tables, formatting reports in Excel, charts & graphs, etc.).
14. Proficiency with payroll and timekeeping systems
15. Advanced knowledge of payroll data and ability to query and report on payroll data
16. Ability to create training material and effectively deliver training
17. Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction
