Job Description

Position Type

  • 100% onsite
  • Title - Data Support Specialist
  • No additional medical exams required (except drug screening)

Education

  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED is required
  • Some college with a degree in Logistics, Finance or comparable field is preferred

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred in freight forwarding, seed, manufacturing, or agriculture business
  • Experience with SAP ERP system preferred

Knowledge / Skills

  • Perform office administration, including support, as needed
  • Understanding or ability to learn government regulations (import/export), process management in data-driven environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (especially Excel) in ERP system setting
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on regulations and government requirements
  • Proactive; able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines in a high-stress environment
  • Deliver high-level service across high transaction volume
  • Identify, research, and resolve data processing issues
  • Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, communication skills, and positive attitude
  • Ability to drive results, and demonstrate proactivity and flexibility within the supply chain

Preferred Skills

  • Compile and calculate inbound/outbound freight rates and other charges from carriers (U.S. & international)
  • Review freight bills for accuracy, code bills properly and forward for approval

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate/timely export/import documentation per customer, financial, and country requirements
  • Review, correct, and manage shipment documents; ensure proper records retention
  • Submit Phytosanitary certificates as required
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ship vegetable seeds/products out of North America
  • Track info, verify before communication, and follow up proactively to resolve issues
  • Handle multiple shipments/tasks at once and prioritize accordingly
  • Apply regulations critically and provide justification
  • Be proactive and make decisions within a matrixed organization
