Job Description

The world's largest automaker is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Automotive Test Technician to join their team in Oxnard, CA. This role involves supporting all test fleet activities, including vehicle inspections , maintenance , and technical support for visiting test groups. The position is ideal for someone with a strong automotive background, excellent organizational skills, and experience with German vehicles.

Core work hours: M-F, 7 AM – 4 PM, with occasional Saturdays, overtime, and domestic/international travel for business and training

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections and repairs of test vehicles, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Conduct software and hardware updates and document results under the guidance of Senior Technicians.
• Provide full vehicle support for test groups, including installing, removing, and maintaining data logging equipment.
• Inspect, sample, and document fluids as required.
• Maintain workshop tools, tire inventories, and service parts.
• Support visiting test groups with technical assistance and prepare vehicles for scrapping or rotation.
• Update and manage engineering tools such as iDEX, Diagra, ODIS, and CP Tool.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in automotive or technical roles.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Automotive vocational training or certification in Automotive Technology.
• At least t wo ASE Certifications (one powertrain-related).
• Recent drivetrain diagnostic experience.
• German and/or Spanish language proficiency is a plus!
